Around Royal Palm Beach

Corbett WMA / Hungryland Slough Natural Area
14-mile linear section of the Florida Trail runs through open prairies and pine flatwoods, great for colorful wildflowers. Backpackers have access to two primitive campsites, and trail connects to adjoining Dupuis Reserve (closed during hunt season dates). Hungryland Trail is a 1.1-mile loop trail and boardwalk through dense cypress swamp, starting at the same trailhead. Follow Seminole-Pratt-Whitney Road north from Northlake Blvd until it ends in preserve; entrance is on left 2 miles beyond where pavement ends. Follow signs through Everglades Youth Camp to trailhead.

4.9 miles in two loop trails winding through pine flatwoods and prairies, great location for pine lilies and other colorful fall wildflowers. Off Crestwood Boulevard west of Royal Palm Beach Boulevard, follow signs to Nature’s Way entrance.
